Jennifer Penney is a freelance community consultant on climate change adaptation, which she regards as an important aspect of urban sustainability. Until recently, Jennifer worked as Director of Research for the Clean Air Partnership where she led a number of climate change adaptation initiatives, including the Ontario-wide Municipal Adaptation Training Program. Jennifer worked with the City of Toronto on Ahead of the Storm, the City’s climate change adaptation strategy, adopted unanimously by Council in 2007. She is the author or co-author of a number of reports, case studies and policy proposals on climate change adaptation. Jennifer holds a doctorate in Work Environment Policy from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
